Hi everyone!
I hope you’re doing well despite these uncertain moments we’re living in. Today I want to share with you a couple of activities I’ve done with my toddler for Easter; but you can also recreate them anytime.
Activity I. Emotions roulette
Materials:
- Paper or foam plate
- A nail with bendable tip
- A paper clip (preferably large)
- A sharpie
- Color markers or crayons
Instructions:
Draw a cross in the plate and a happy face, an angry face, a surprised face and a sad face; each in the spaces you’ve made. Then, put the nail in the center of the plate and the paper clip around the nail to simulate the roulette arrow. Once you do this, you can ask your toddler to paint the spaces with the faces to help in the process.
After you complete the roulette, start making the arrow go around the nail and point at one of the faces. Ask your child what emotion the face expresses.
Activity II. Easter Eggs Bank
Materials:
- A tray (preferably plastic or aluminum)
- Foaming
- A Bowl/ Jar with lid or a box
Instructions:
Cut the foaming into an egg shape (cut as much as you want). Then make a hole on the lid to fit the egg shaped foaming in. Start playing!
Hide the eggs in between the paper grass for your child to seek for them and deposit them in the bank.

Espero que estén bien apesar de los tiempos inciertos que estamos viviendo. Hoy quiero compartir unas actividades de pascua que hice con mi niño; pero que pueden recrear en cualquier momento y época.
Actividad I. Ruleta de las emociones
Materiales:
- Un plato desechable
- Un clavo de punta flexible (para hacer archivos en portafolios)
- Una presilla grande o mediana
- Un marcador permanente
- Marcadores permanentes de color o crayones
Instructiones:
Dibuja una cruz en el plato y en cada espacio que creaste, dibuja una una emoción (una cara feliz, una cara enojada, una cara sorprendida y una cara triste). Luego coloca el clavo en el centro del plato, atravesándolo. Coloca la presilla alrededor del clavo, con una de sus partes extendidas para simular una flecha. La ruleta está lista para que tu pequeño gire la flecha.
Cada vez que la flecha apunte a una cara, pregúntale a tu niño qué emoción ésta expresa.
Actividad II. Banco de huevos de Pascua
Materiales:
- Una bandeja plástica o de aluminio
- Foaming (de colores preferiblemente)
- Un envase con tapa o caja
- Grama de papel o paja para llenar canastas de regalo
Instructiones:
Corta el foaming en forma de huevo (corta tantos huevos como desees). Luego, haz una apertura en medio del recipiente que utilices para que tu pequeñín pueda insertar los huevos. ¡Que comience el juego!
Esconde los huevos en la grama de papel para que tu peque pase un rato divertido encontrándolos y depositándolos en el banco de huevos de Pascua.
