Hi everyone! I know it’s tough going back to normal after the holidays, specially because being with our loved ones all the tome brings so much joy.
I want to encourage you today and remind you that even though the excitement holidays is over, the joy of starting a new season alive and blessed it a cause for celebration as well.
Today I changed my routine a little bit and introduced some crafting into my day (with toddler and all, ha!).
I made fabric flowers for this wreath that I used for Christmas and now I’m committed to use every season with diverse ornaments.
See the flowers? You might not believe that the fabric I used was from old shirts and even a leggin. Haha!
Step 1
Get a piece of fabric that is 4 inches wide and 8 inches long.
Step 2
Fold into a triangle twice
Step 3: Cut the triangle
Step 4: Fold the triangle in half
Step 5: Cut the bottom of this triangle in a round form as if you were making a heart out of paper
Step 6: Open the tiny piece of fabric. It turns into a flower!
Step 7: Fold it in half twice
Step 8: Glue the center interior of the halves. Repeat steps 2 to 8 five times
Step 9: Make a circle and cut it out, to paste all petals together in the shape of a clover. Then glue the 5th petal in the center to gather all petals together.
Glue them. I used hot glue in the entire process.
It took me about 4 to 5 minutes to make one flower, and I made three in total for my wreath. The foaming butterflies were a gift from my mother which she bought in Walmart. But you can also find these in a school supply.
I hope this motivated you to do something that blesses your home with a touch of your hands. If you liked this, share it, leave me comments, questions or suggestions for a next diy.
Hugs!
