My baby wearing story

Who doesn’t L O V E to carry her/his baby all the time? That’s why my hands started to swell early after having the baby. 😔 So I ran to Toys R Us because God knows I was desperate about my hands and wrists hurting everytime I carried the baby (all day long).

At Toys R Us, I found the Infantino 4 in 1 baby carrier which is amazing because it holds a baby up to 32 lbs. The product has a pamphlet that guides you through all the stages you can carry your baby in it, and you will be happy to avoid mommy thumb for your own sake.

The instruction guide recommends you to start wearing your baby in the carrier from 10 to 20 minutes. Practice at home first, and then go for little walks at the mall, increasing time spent in the carrier. In a wink of an eye you’ll see how the baby gets used to it, and will be happier because you don’t have to leave him alone in the crib to do chores or to wait until he is asleep. To be honest, I don’t always wear the baby, but I have ways to keep him close.

  • I put him in the high chair with a few toys next to me when I do the dishes or vacuum
  • I let him play on the mat I place on the floor while I write or fold clothes
  • Go for a few things at the grocery store and take the car seat and stroller system with me while the baby naps and I put the groceries on the stroller’s basket

The thing is that if your baby likes to be near you, just try the best and more comfortable way to keep your little one close and make of your time together a healthy and happy one.

Feel free to click on the link to get more info on the baby carrier. Let me know if you’ve used this one before, or if you prefer other brands and why. I’d love to hear about your baby wearing experience too! I can still learn tons about this and there are other new mamas like me. 🤗

Hugs, Edaliz✌😘
